Mercy Flight is a charitable organization that relies heavily on contributions from its supporters. Although we are reimbursed for a portion of each mission by insurance carriers, our service rates are set well below industry standards, and we could not continue to operate this way without the generous funding we receive from members of our community.
Please consider making a tax-deductible donation to Mercy Flight, where all donations are tax-deductible and are used directly toward program expenses
Sponsor a mission
We perform our lifesaving mission without regard to our patients’ insurance status or their ability to pay. Mercy Flight forgave $1.4 million last year for care provided to our uninsured or under-insured patients – an average of $1,900 per patient mission.

Third-Party Events
A third-party event is an activity hosted by an external party to raise money to support Mercy Flight. It can be anything from hosting a bowling tournament, basket raffle, a fundraiser at your place of employment, and everything in between. The organizer is responsible for all recruitment and publicity of the event, as well as expenses and income generated in connection with it. Mercy Flight has no fiduciary responsibility and little to no staff and board member involvement. Contact our Development Office at 716.626.5808, ext. 1358 with any questions.
Tribute Gifts
A tribute gift is a donation made in honor of someone who is not the donor. It is a way to recognize, honor, and celebrate people who are important to you. Tribute gifts are a wonderful way to celebrate a special event, holiday, milestone or to honor a health care provider or member of the Mercy Flight crew.
Memorial Gifts
A memorial gift to Mercy Flight is a meaningful way to demonstrate respect for a loved one who has passed away by honoring and preserving their memory.
Gifts of Appreciation
Were you, a family member, or friend the recipient of Mercy Flight’s services? Many patients and their families and/or friends show their appreciation for Mercy Flight’s role during their time of need by making a donation.
Matching Gifts
A matching gift is a type of corporate philanthropy in which a company matches the donations made by its employees to qualified nonprofit organizations such as Mercy Flight. Matching gifts are a great way to boost revenue for Mercy Flight and can double or even triple your gift! Check with your company’s human resources or payroll department to see whether it offers a matching gift program.
Gifts of Stock
Donating stock or other securities to Mercy Flight is easier than one might think and often offers several advantages over cash donations, including reduced or eliminated capital gains on stocks that have increased in value. Please contact the Development Office at 716.626.5808, ext. 1358 to learn more.
In-Kind Gifts
Gifts in kind, also referred to as in-kind donations, are a form of charitable giving in which, instead of giving money to buy needed goods and services, the goods or services themselves are given. Examples of in-kind gifts desired by Mercy Flight include restaurant, retail, and service gift cards, sports and entertainment tickets, memorabilia, and themed gift baskets. These in-kind gifts would be used in support of the annual BASH for Mercy Flight fundraiser. In-kind gifts can be given by contacting the Development Office at 716.626.5808, ext. 1358.
