ITLS

Thu Apr 12th, 2012 to Fri Apr 13th, 2012 - All Day
At Mercy Flight WNY, Flying Tigers - Buffalo Airport
International Trauma Life Support Training Class

Mercy Flight provides advanced care in the air and now we can provide you with advanced training on the ground.

Mercy Flight Western New York is an official American Heart Association Training site offering CPR, ACLS and PALS education to our employees, our health care partners and the general public.

We will be conducting an International Trauma Life Support Course from 0800-1700 on April 12-13, 2012.  Pre-registration is required and class size is limited.

The ITLS course is designed to review, organize and prioritize the skills and didactic information needed to handle a multitude of trauma situations. Participants will be shown how to enhance their existing trauma care and reduce on-scene times, in an effort to improve patient outcome. It is expected that all participants will read and study all pre-course materials before the start of the

program. The program fee includes textbook and applicable ACEP fee. Since this program will be held at our Flying Tigers based facility, you will be given the opportunity to meet the people responsible for keeping Mercy Flight in the air. Our pilots, critical care nurses, paramedics, aircraft mechanics, communications specialists, and administrative staff will be happy to talk with you. Additionally, the aircraft will be available for a hands on tour. All proceeds from this course will benefit Mercy Flight.
