David Weber, Jr.

On August 26, 2000, as I was cutting a tree limb, it broke without warning and fractured my jaw in two places, knocking me off a 30-foot ladder. The local volunteer fire company responded and immediately called Mercy Flight. They airlifted me to ECMC - which saved my life.

Every time my three children see one of Mercy Flight's signs, they say 'that's who took Daddy for a ride in a helicopter!' They really don't understand; but my parents, sister, brother, and brother-in-law, who saw me fall, sure do.

I was always told you couldn't see angels, but I was definitely in the hands of some special angels when Mercy Flight picked me up and saved my life. To all of those individuals at Mercy Flight, a heartfelt thank you for being there so that I can still enjoy all of life's simple pleasures.
